"Skincare is self-care. Do I need to cleanse that much? Yes, I do!"

Kate and Doree talk to actor, writer, podcaster, and director Kulap Vilaysack (Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, Origin Story: A Documentary, Who Charted?) about being a Taurus and enjoying earthly delights, breathwork, the Grinberg Method, therapy, astrology, directing a documentary about her family, and the Lao community. (Follow Kulap on Instagram and Twitter.)

Plus, Kate interviews Doree about Slow Clothes Movement, her Instagram where she chronicles her journey to shopping less and buying more ethically. Doree talks about how to purge your closet (including the psychological ramifications and how clothes are a sunk cost), how to buy and sell clothes secondhand, recycling and reusing clothes, buying from ethical and sustainable brands, figuring out your “uniform,” caring for your clothes, and how to shop more mindfully so you don’t end up with a closet full of clothes you hate. Doree has also put together a separate guide to slow clothes living that you can read here.

Doree also gives some updates on her journey to becoming paraben-free, including the new Heimish face wash that she loves, and Kate talks about the Farmacy oil cleanser and the natural deodorant from Costco that she’s recently become obsessed with.
