Doree Shafrir
Doree Shafrir is a writer and podcaster. Her first novel, Startup, was published by Little, Brown in 2017 and was called “biting and astute” by the New York Times Book Review. Her memoir, Thanks for Waiting: The Joy (& Weirdness) of Being a Late Bloomer, was published by Ballantine in June 2021. In addition to Forever35, Doree is the co-host with her husband of Matt & Doree’s Eggcellent Adventure, a podcast about navigating infertility and the IVF process.
She has also written about culture, women’s issues, parenting, media, and celebrity for publications including The Cut, The New York Times, and Slate, and was formerly an editor at BuzzFeed and Rolling Stone. She lives in Los Angeles with her family. Learn more at doree-shafrir.com.

Kate is the author of the memoir, The Dead Moms Club, published by Seal Press in 2017. Her first novel, In a New York Minute, will be published by Grand Central in 2022. Additionally, her work has been featured on Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, Esquire, Buzzfeed, Refinery29, Women's Health, Salon, The Huffington Post, and The Daily Beast.
Previously, Kate worked as a Senior Producer, Writer, and On-Air Host at VH1 and is a longtime performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She lives with her husband and two kids in Los Angeles.
