Episode 10: Meal of Approval

Kate and Doree discuss the struggle that is meal planning and cooking for your family, and talk about strategies to cope. (Be sure to check out Kate's separate post about meal planning!) Kate has a new philosophy for cooking for her two kids, which is to keep things as simple as possible, involving her kids in meal prep, and serving food family-style. Doree talks about what it's like cooking for one even when you're in a relationship because your partner works late — which for her has involved relying on Sun Basket meal kits for dinner and then eating the leftovers for lunch. (To get $40 off your first week of Sun Basket, use this link!)

Then they get YA author Jenny Han (The Summer I Turned Pretty series, the To All the Boys I've Loved Before trilogy) to share her chocolate chip cookie secrets and how to make the perfect scrambled eggs, as well as her skincare regimen and her favorite lipsticks. She also extols the virtues of shopping for beauty products at the airport in Seoul — if you're flying through Asia, she suggests booking your ticket with a stopover there.
